(EN) We're heading back to the Maastricht Caves, this time with a seasonal twist - 4 peaty whiskies on a tour of the Zonneberg Caves, adding a smoky edge to a unique tasting we held back in May🔥🥃

A tasting underground - a unique atmosphere with no sensory distractions. Just rich smoke and single malt, sourced from across Europe🗺️

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Over 18s only
  • The tasting will be held in English
  • Please be ready outside Buitengoed Slavante to start the tour before 14:00 - if you are late, we cannot wait for you!
  • Please wear suitable clothing for the tour - it will be 11C and humid in the caves. There will be some steep and sandy floors, so you need to be careful.

 

The 4 whiskies you'll try on this tour/tasting:

1. Fary Lochan - Peaty Perfection

Danish single malt, single cask bottling of unpeated whisky finished in an ex-Islay cask, which is enough to lend it plenty of smoke! (52.9%)

2. Kyrö - Peat Smoke

Finnish rye malt smoked over Finnish freshwater peat, giving this rich rye whisky and earthy and smooth kind of smokiness (47.2%)

3. Bossche Stokers / 3006 Whisky - Hemel en Hellevuur

Dutch single malt produced in Den Bosch, and aged in a beauitufl combination of PX Quarter Cask, Palo Cortado Octave, and Oloroso Octave casks (48%)

4. WhiskyLab / 3006 Whisky - Holy Smokes

An indepedently bottled Scotch whisky, an 8-year old peaty gem from Islay, selected by WhiskyLab (59.8%)

(NL) We gaan terug naar de Maastricht Grotten. Deze keer doen we deze proeverij met een seizoenswending - 4 geturfde whisky's op een rondleiding door de Zonneberg Grotten. Een unieke proeverij zoals die in mei gedaan, met een vleugje rook toegevoegd 🔥🥃

Een ondergrondse proeverij - sferig zonder zintuiglijke afleidingen. Alleen rijk rook en het beste single malt, afkomstig van Europa 🗺️

LET OP:

  • Alleen volwassenen (#Geen18GeenAlcohol)
  • De proeverij wordt in het Engels gedaan
  • Sta je klaar buiten Buitengoed Slavante om de rondleiding voor 14:00 te beginnen. Als je komt laat aan, kunnen we niet op je wachten! 
  • Drag je de juiste kleding voor de rondleiding alsjeblieft. De grotten zullen 11C en vochtig zijn, en er zal steile en zanderige vloeren - dus voorzichtig zijn!

1. Fary Lochan - Peaty Perfection

Deense single malt, single cask bottling van ongeturfde whisky met een finish op'n ex-Islay vat, dat goed genoeg is om veel rook te geven eraan! (52.9%)

2. Kyrö - Peat Smoke

Finse rogge mout boven Finse zoetwater turf gerookt. Een rijke roggewhisky met aardachtig noten en een zachte soort rokerigheid (47.2%)

3. Bossche Stokers / 3006 Whisky - Hemel en Hellevuur

Nederlandse single malt in Den Bosch geproduceerd en in een mooie combinatie van PX Quarter Cask, Palo Cortado Octave, and Oloroso Octave vaten gerijpt (48%)

4. WhiskyLab / 3006 Whisky - Holy Smokes

Een onafhankelijke gebotteld Schotse whisky, een acht jaar oud geturfde juweel peaty gem van Islay, door WhiskyLab geselecteerd (59.8%)
